ABOUT LAELA & AMELIA EISENSCHENK

Laela and Amelia Eisenschenk are third generation racecar drivers from Fargo, ND. Growing up watching their Uncle, ten-time World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion Donny Schatz, they started racing go-karts at an early age and spent the better part of a decade racing at the Red River Kart Club in West Fargo, ND and at Forks Karting Speedway in Grand Forks, ND.

In 2022, with the support of their Uncle and their Grandparents Danny and Diane Schatz, Laela and Amelia moved into the IMCA RACESaver Sprint division. In just her second Sprint Car start, six days after her debut, Amelia won her first feature at Norman County Raceway in Ada, MN. Later on in the summer, Amelia made her Late Model debut, becoming the highest finishing female driver in just her fourth start with the Northern Late Model Racing Association at Buffalo River Speedway in Glyndon, MN. Amelia finished the season with three Sprint Car feature wins.

At the start of the 2023 season, Laela got her first Sprint Car win in June at Norman County Raceway in Ada, MN with Amelia winning at Norman County in August and again at Buffalo River in Sept. The pair combined for three feature wins that season as they continued to put their names in the history books. Laela scored the first top five for a female driver in the past ten seasons in Northern Outlaw Sprint Association history in July. She accomplished the feat with the 410 group in her RACESaver 305 Sprint.

It was an ambitious schedule for the DSR Duo in 2024 as Laela and Amelia competed in three different divisions as they continued racing RACESavers with Laela joining Amelia in Late Model competition in May. As the calendar turned to June, both drivers made their 410 Sprint Car debuts and just one week later at Casino Speedway in Watertown, SD, Laela lowered her personal best NOSA finish with a fourth place run after running in a podium spot for most of the race.

Amelia became the highest finishing female Late Model driver in River Cities Speedway history on July 2nd with a fourth-place run, and when the IRA Sprints made their way north later that month, Laela became just the second driver in NLRA Late Model and NOSA Sprint history to start on the pole of a feature with both organizations in the same season.

Amelia closed out the season making her Super Late Model debut at the Gateway dirt nationals while Laela kicked off 2025 making her Tulsa Shootout debut. Both drivers chalked up top fives at Central Arizona Speedway in late January, with Laela finishing third on the penultimate night of the six-race Ernie Mincy Early Thaw.

As 2025 continues, both Laela and Amelia will be in Late Model and Sprint Car competition throughout the upper-Midwest and will no doubt continue to re-write history as they continue to contend for wins on a nightly basis.
