WEST FARGO, N.D. (May 27, 2025) - Laela Eisenschenk scored the first win for Donny Schatz Racing last week in the IMCA Sprint Car division at Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo, ND. The race was the second of three races in a four day span for the pair of Sprint Car pilots, following a run with the NOSA Sprints at River Cities Speedway on Friday night and another IMCA show at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, SD.

Friday night’s feature at Red River Valley Speedway saw Laela start from the pole of the main event with Amelia starting on the inside of the fourth row. Laela jumped out to an early lead as Amelia worked her way through the field. Laela led through lap five with Amelia fourth as a caution flag flew on lap five.

Laela had no problems on the restart, pulling away by ten car lengths as Amelia looked to move into a podium spot. With seven laps to go, Laela survived a near disaster in lapped traffic, making contact with Jason Berg but continued to lead by ten lengths.

Laela continued to lap through traffic and continued on to win by nearly a straightaway. Amelia fell back to sixth after the restart and finished in that position.

In other action last week, Laela and Amelia finished 12th and eighth respectively during their appearance at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks with the Northern Outlaw Sprint Association.

They also ran in the IMCA division at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, SD. Laela made the main event, finishing tenth.

This week, the duo will split time between their Late Models and IMCA Sprints again, racing at Norman County Raceway in Ada, MN and River Cities with the Northern Late Model Racing Association before switching back to the IMCA Sprints where they will honor their Grandfather during the third running of the Danny Schatz Memorial at Red River Valley Speedway before ending the weekend Sunday at Buffalo River Speedway in Glyndon, MN.
